The Hot Laps Karting Center is now accepting reservations for its
YOUTH RACING SCHOOL. The dates are available
for the remainder of the summer. Each
school is 2 hrs. in length and limited to 6 racers per school.
Print a school reservation form to book your
seat behind the wheel. We are not a 'text book' school where you spend half of
your session in a classroom. We combine our educational process with
hands-on experience.

This is a "real" racing
school, geared toward the 'novice' or 'rookie' driver. The school is
designed to introduce your child to the world of real kart racing. This is
not a "text book" school. The kid's classroom is our race track at Sugar
Hill Speedway.
We will show them the thrill of being behind the wheel
while teaching them that racing isn't just jumping in the seat and mashing
the gas pedal!
In a fun and educational program instructed by local
championship racers, your child will not only learn how to wheel our karts
around the road course, but how to adapt to different tracks, safe and
smart racing techniques, kart dynamics and set-up, and most importantly,
safety in racing.
Your child's safety is our NUMBER ONE priority. So, if
you have any questions about the variety of safety measures we've
implemented in this program, feel free to contact us.
The karts we use have been specifically designed for
youth racers, complete with a 4-point safety harness and a roll bar. We
provide all of the safety gear (helmet, racing suit, neck protector, etc.)
for one of the most enjoyable days your kids will ever have on a race
track.

Our youth racing school is
available during April (Spring) vacation weeks, some Saturday mornings, and
weekdays June through August.
Your kids will learn:
- How the karts work (Kart dynamics)
- Safe racing
- Passing techniques
- Racing strategies
- Racing procedures and rules
- Flagging
All youth participants receive a computerized printout
of their race results for the day.
Kart racing is a proven training ground for aspiring
racers and our camp teaches a positive and safety conscious approach to
motorsports (which also translates to real life daily driving)
